Empty cold drink bottles we didnt want to take home.
Ah, they will disappear or something right?
Be gone by the next time we come here.
And they were!
Washed away by the rainstorm, down the water drains and into the stream that discarded them into the sea.
Yeah Right!....I'll show you where your bottles went as well as the bag that blew away at the beach.
Okay only two bottles and a bag!...WTF?

Each of which currently are 300 Million tons of plastic!

Gone to one of those islands the size of Texas or the UK of floating bottles and bags and polystyrene food containers and cups. All going swirling round and round with a hundred million tons of other plastic articles that have been discarded by us and from ships losing containers in heavy storms filled with toys and sports shoes and other plastics.
Yep good ol' tree hugging, fish smothering, stream and river choking plastic which is Lethal Litter!

Have to agree on all accounts. I recently saw a program on Sydney Harbour. One of the most photographed harbours in the world, but just 1 metre under the surface it is jammed packed with plastic bags, bottles and other stuff made from - Yes Oil!!!
