The Night Owl
Seize the night .(An exhortation to make good use of the night,)

This is my night ramblings on too much coffee and a brandy or two or three.
Any subject that is relevant at the time.... having bugged everyone I know on face-book.
Topics may seem somewhat inconsequential but this depicts the amazing strides in technology which is currently  being investigated.
This is such an incredible era in our lives!

The very first wonder of the universe!

This brings us to what incredible strides man have taken since the greatest technological breakthrough
of all time.
Man learned to fly!
Dreaming about this since long before Leonardo da Vinci
He actually flew 22 yards...shorter than the wingspan of a 747.
and for the first time in history man began to fly!
A few years before that Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone by way of inventing technology to send sound through  copper wire!
This was the time when motorized vehicles began frequenting the streets.
Sound reproduction was in its very infancy with a horn speaker, long before the vinyl record and the technology of trapping sound to a magnetic reel tape.
Wireless communication / AM radio  had not been thought of yet.
Not even 100 years ago.
Rockets were not invented yet-other than Chinese fireworks.
First primitive fuel propelled rocket managed to get to the outer boundaries of the atmosphere in 1952.
This was the time when portable communication came from comic books.
Hence taking into consideration the rocketry technology of the day - which principles to this day re used at Nasa- it was time for Sputnik to be launched  to orbit the earth with a chimpanzee.
1960 Moon race!

Being involved in a lifetime of passion for engineering and technology and the amazing advances man is making in said fields I would like to share the following.

Take a quick look at this incredible engineering and technology
NASA Mars Flight
Really amazing

(The point I'm making is from getting ass off  terra firma man has created Space Stations and Satellites
in the sky in less than 100 years...Wow Man!

Watch this video

A 'Gasifyer" is being tested and developed in South Africa which will be generating 3 phase electricity, and it's all  powered by household garbage, be it plastic, paper, wood, old tyres, etc!
It is really interesting,

I will keep this updated once all the information and links becomes available.

Is this the diagnostic tool of the very near future?
This is the clip about the doctor who uses a cellphone in his practice.
This may be the future of medicine.
Watch this video.

This is really a great era n our lives.
Although nothing is of any consequence unless we pay
immediate attention to our planet.
Take a brief look!

Aircraft Tracking

Read through this whole item before clicking on the red link...
This is a handy little tool
Every day,we see planes in the sky, sometimes very high..with or without contrails.
and we wonder what type of plane, airbus A320, 330, 350? Boeing.....or other.
Where does it come from, where is it going, what altitude, what speed, what company etc.
You can see all the information instantly on your screen. but before clicking on the link:

Try it!
You will really be impressed.

Some tricks......on the map you will see all the planes in the air.
To view your region or town, you can zoom in by tapping with your mouse.
Click on a airplane, and on the left screen you will get all the info.
airline, type, speed, altitude in real time, re calculated every 10 seconds.
On some, you can also click on 'view from the cockpit'. Try it!....it's useful and interesting!
