Not having been to this part of the world in many decades, I decided to fulfill my promise to my wife Wendy whilst at Niagara a few years ago in 2008
I would show her The Victoria Fall,.which she had never seen or experienced even though it is 'just down the road' from Durban our home city in South Africa.
I am sure glad we did this as even I was totally taken by the spectacular experience of the mighty force of the Zambezi.
A memorable trip of which I have over 300 photos and wish I could post all.

The Smoke That Thunders
The Victoria Falls is the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. There is a 400 meter no-man's land on either side of the river.
An aerial view.
Note: The bridge across the gorge is approx 700m /1Km long, which puts the grandeur and width of the falls into perspective.
The entrance to the Kingdom Hotel.
I need to comment that this facility is world class.
The people in this part of Africa are doing it for themselves with pride efficiency and dignity.
The service and management is to be commended.
Kingdom dining area.
Magnificent buffet meals!
Outdoor Pub beside the pool area.
This is Africa by the way!

Vultures alongside the Zambezi.
Waiting....Just Waiting!
Hippo sightings at dusk.

Sunrise Through Trees.
Shaky Aerial Cam
Still Under Construction.

Devils Cataract at the far edge.
Water flow rate; 3000cubic meters / 12000cubic meters p/second
depending on the time of year and the rainfall.

The horse shoe bend of the gorge.
Spectacular, merely by its size and depth!
The rain forest;
A permanently drenching
rainstorm caused by the mist.
